Violet LiNovember 25, 2019

Hello, everyone.

Last time, we talked about how to measure a men's shirt, did you get it?

Today, let's learn about how to measure your blazer in R.Prince's way.

Here we go!

Normally, about men's blazer, we need to measure only 7 sizes, including chest, stomach, hip, bicep, sleeve, back length, and shoulder.

In order to keep our figures correct, we need to pay more attention to some points. First of all, to keep a blazer flat and no wrinkles. Next, to use our method to measure the related sizes.

Are you ready? Let's do it.

(1)Chest

Put the jacket flat, do not fasten the last button (except Single-breasted one button). The fabric stripe should be paralleled on both left and right sides, buttons should be placed at the center of buttonholes.

Then measure the distance from the deepest point under the left armhole to the right horizontally. The final figure of the chest is as twice as we measured.

 (2) Stomach

To keep the blazer flat and no wrinkles, then measure the distance from the narrowest of the left waist to right. The final figure of the stomach is as twice as we measured.

If you can not find the narrowest of the waist, normally, you can take the position around 8-10 CM above the lower pocket.

  (3) Hip/Seat

You can check the following chart when you measure the seat. Put the stomach as a baseline, then according to your height to find the proper distance and find the correct position you need to measure.

You need to measure the distance from left to right. The final figure of the stomach is as twice as you measured.

(Note: For the blazer of double vents, you need to fold 6cm of vents, then measure the seat.)

  (4) Bicep

Find the deepest point of the armhole, fold the sleeve and find the joints of the sleeve and armhole. Use tape to measure the distance from the bottom point of the armhole. The final figure of the bicep is as twice as you measure.
